A little late for World Kindness Day, but I found this photo with my daughter from last summer’s youth mission trip in Chicago. As you can see our service learning for the day was cleaning out an old church to be remodeled for a community service center. The mission trip was cancelled this year.
Even though we may not be able to travel for mission work, we can still serve our neighbor from our homes.
Do you have a friend or neighbor that is in quarantine and needs to have their bill paid at the utility department? Are you able to go to the store and pick up and extra gallon of milk for them? Can you Zoom your grandparent in the nursing home? The pandemic has made us become more creative with how we interact with people. But it’s the interaction, in what ever form, is the most important.
